Mounting

For me, the mountboard is the most unique part of the frame where you can really add the detail that makes the artwork shine.

Here you can select from an enormous colour and texture range, you can mix for a double or even triple mount and add edge details and V-grooves for extra class.

If unsure please ask, this is my favourite part of the process.

Black Mountboard on a Black Frame

Choosing a black mountboard here allows the attention to be focused on this very special piece, rather than detracting, whilst the subtle white V-Groove adds a layer of class and distinction

Mountboards come in a huge variety of colours, ready to perfectly complement your artwork or your imagination!

Stepped Mounts

Stepped mounts use layered boards with progressively wider apertures so multiple layers remain visible. Often called double or triple mounts, they add visual interest and can create attractive bordered effects, especially with coloured boards and exposed white cores.

V Groove

A V-groove mount is created using a routing tool that cuts a V-shaped channel around the aperture, usually about 1cm from the internal edge. Often combined with stepped mounts, it adds a layer of subtle class.

Double V Groove

A little more fancy.

A double V Groove is less subtle, but with the right piece can really make the difference.

For a very unique piece why not bolster the art work with a bespoke, tripple mount, complete with V Groove and a complimentary hand painted colour.
